Op de iPod: Faith No More

Als je hardloopt hoor je nog eens wat. Zoals de muziek van Faith No More. Jaren stond de cd stof te happen in de kast, maar sinds ik King for a Day naar mp3 ripte en op m’n iPod zette ben ik weer helemaal fan.

Faith No More is een kekse Californische crossover band uit de jaren ’90 van de vorige eeuw, die moeiteloos schakelt tussen metal, hiphop en minder voor de hand liggende stijlen als funk en jazz. De beste FNM cd — The Real Thing — kan ik helaas nergens meer vinden. Terwijl die volgens mij toch ook echt deel uitmaakt(e) van mijn collectie. Ik zal ‘m wel hebben uitgeleend, maar nooit hebben teruggekregen.

Geen nood. Daar is via Usenet natuurlijk snel verandering in te brengen

Vooralsnog komen ook nummers van King for a Day met regelmaat voorbij als ik mijn rondjes in en om Emmeloord draai. Zoals het strakke Ricochet. Oftewel: It’s always funny until someone gets hurt. And then it’s just hilarious:
